If you think the problem is “out there”, you’ll try to solve it from the outside. Take the shortcut and solve it from within.

These signature Samarasa curriculums were created for those interested in taking their practice of self-knowledge and embodied inquiry to the next level. These courses are 6-wk long journeys of discovery designed to practice leaning into group support. Both courses skillfully weave yoga, meditation, experiential exercises, self-inquiry, and tantric philosophy with a rhythmic, safe and steady pace for a harmonious integration of the teachings. In trusting and sharing with others, we often find ourselves.
Classes are held 1 -2 times per week for 6 weeks depending on the course. See course description for scheduling information.
Learning To Stay
Using the tools of yoga, meditation, The Work of Byron Katie and conscious communication, we will explore all parts of ourselves and learn to stay with all that is uncovered and experienced.
6 wks – 1x/wk
Facilitator: Susan Marrufo
Susan’s newest curriculum offering. This course is a practice-driven curriculum designed to facilitate deep introspection. Using the tools of yoga, meditation, The Work of Byron Katie and conscious communication, we will explore all parts of ourselves and learn to stay with all that is uncovered and experienced – training the mind in open attention and moving away from dualistic labeling of experience (good, bad). This course is designed to cultivate connection with inner stillness, connecting with Shiva to hold the energy of Shakti, learning to stay in the fire to allow for deep transformation/surrender/acceptance to occur.
Course intentions are to create a safe space for:
Cultivating maitri– Practice self-observation with compassion or loving-kindness for self.
Staying with sensation – Lean into feelings as opposed to repressing or denying present or past experiences; strengthening ability to ride the crest of emotion.
Letting go/Surrender – Total acceptance (non-resistance) of what is (ishvara pranidhana), non-grasping (aparigraha).
Due to the depth to which we journey in this course, it is suggested (but not required) that students complete Yoga, Sex + Death ™ before registering for Learning To Stay, to get an understanding of the nature of the work.
