Asana Deep Dive

If life is a school, relationships are our university. Through relationships we have a chance to mature and activate the human values that facilitate our evolution.

Asana Deep Dive

With Dan and Cristina Houston

The Asana Deep Dive weekend is designed for students and existing yoga teachers to deepen and invigorate their asana practice. Over the course of 3 days, we will explore postures, anatomy, and breath mechanics to discover new-found levels of strength and longevity in practice.

For existing teachers, this training will refine their practice in a way that empowers them to see, address and impact their students more effectively. Additionally, this training is recognized as Continuing Education under the Yoga Alliance.

Foundations of Mindful Practice | This workshop guides students through our unique approach to movement, and our core attitude of “Process over Product”. By unlearning habitual patterns that are no longer serving them, students will learn how to utilize a bones-based practice to redefine and inspire their asana practice.

Saturday morning 9am – 11:30am

Integral Anatomy: Unlocking Hips & Shoulders | This workshop focuses on the integration of a movement-based approach, called Reciprocal Inhibition, to provide students with increased strength & mobility in practice. Students will learn how to apply anatomy to explore the relationship between stability and mobility of the shoulder & hip girdle.

Saturday afternoon 1:30pm – 4pm

Unraveling the Core | Through inquiry, conscious conversation, and precise movement, participants will have a thorough understanding of how our core plays an intricate role both in the way we live and move. We will explore everything from anatomy of the core muscles, to the way we relate to our centers, and play with floating in and out of postures.

Sunday morning 9am – 11am

Vinyasa Tribe: A 2-Hour Master Class | This master class is a staple of who Mind Tribes is, and Dan and Cristina are known for delivering a deliberate, challenging, and transformational practice. Expect pranayama, movement, and play. Not suitable for new students.
